Activision has released a brand-new Black Ops 2 video, which shows star antagonist.
“Raul Menendez is idolized as the Messiah of the 99%, yet underneath the surface lurks an insidious mastermind hell bent on global insurrection,” reads the official description. What’s interesting about this villain compared to baddies in other games is that his character was created in collaboration with David S. Goyer, co-writer of the upcoming Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises.
I think I might be in the minority here as far as how much I’m looking forward to this game. Most people criticize CoD (myself included) for not innovating or doing anything new. Well here they are with a decade hopping story, a new time period, a branching non-linear story campaign, optional missions that play with an RTS flare, a revamped Zombies done in the multiplayer engine, a story written by a great writer and a soundtrack done by Trent Reznor whose seen tons of praise for his recent movie scores. So yeah, I’m excited for it. If you don’t support them when they do try to innovate, then you’re not voting with your dollar.
