Xbox Live Indie Game turned Steam game Cthulhu Saves the World will be coming to Mac, iOS and Android devices this Thursday, on June 28th.

The game will release across iPhone, iPad, Android devices and Mac for $1.99 across their various app stores. It’s unclear whether the iOS version will be a universal iPhone/iPad app, and also if the PC version on Steam (which is packaged with similar title Breath of Death VII) will be updated with the Mac version added as a bonus for free.

Cthulhu Saves the World is a 16-bit game in the style of a 16-bit era JRPG in which players play as Lovecraftian Cthulhu who has to change face and become a ‘true hero’ for the people. It’s a classic styled RPG with a lot of quirk and humour, and you can pick it up on Thursday (if you don’t own it already).

Yeah i got it, only 80 points. I only played it a little, but it seemed like a good fix for retro nostalgia, had a weird battle mechanic though. i don’t recall it exactly, but it was turn related, where the enemy gets x percentage stronger per turn. i didn’t dislike it, but it wasn’t what i was expected(a traditional turn based rpg).
