According to Hollywood Deadline, American broadcasting company FOX has kick-started development on an action comedy TV series based on Battlefield: Bad Company.
Entitled ‘Bad Company’, strangely enough, the hour-long show is being produced by Sony TV alongside Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions, with none other than Alias writer John Eisendrath behind its rib-tickling script. Electronic Arts’ Patrick Bach and Patrick O’Brien are also directly involved in the project.
Unsurprisingly, the plot will be similar to that of 2008’s game, which Deadline conveniently summarises:

Bad Company features the main characters from the game. It follows four renegade soldiers as they exit military life and enter the private sector. But trouble is never far behind as they realize their commanding officer had used them to further the ends of a shadow unit within the government and now wants them dead to cover his tracks.

Responses to this news have been mixed so far. Some feel FOX’s production could tarnish the first-person shooter’s status, whereas one particular commenter believes Bad Company could be the new A Team if done well – a bold statement.

Sounds interesting. I’ve yet to play Bad Company (it’s in my Steam Wishlist but I haven’t bought it yet) but this could be pretty amusing.
I wonder however how the public will react to it considering it sounds like it would be about mercenaries killing government officials.
We’ll see, but I don’t see anything intrinsically wrong with the concept.
You should definitely play Bad Company. Despite its age, it’s an enjoyable, amusing FPS -- and it’s super cheap now.
I want to more and more, but I’m out of cash and really only jump on steam sales for things like this.
