Developer Treyarch has announced that those who pre-order the studio’s futuristic shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops II, scheduled for release on November 13th, will be eligible to download a reimagined version of Black Ops multiplayer map Nuketown on launch day.
Nuketown, an arena-style map based on a 1960s nuclear testing ground that catered to a variety of play styles, quickly became a CoD community favourite in 2010. “Multiplayer fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops LOVE Nuketown”, said Studio Head Mark Lamia in the Activision press release. “Flat out, [it] was a blast to play before, and we’re excited about the reimagined Nuketown 2025 in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. We can’t wait to play with everyone come this November”.
Neither can we.
