The Max Payne 3 Local Justice Pack, available tomorrow on the Sony Entertainment Network and Xbox LIVE, features three all-new maps based on levels from Max’s epic single-player story – designed specifically for intense multiplayer action. Today, we bring you a special preview of each map’s layout to get you and your crew’s strategic juices flowing, comprising top-down diagrams and screens which highlight points of interest for all three locations.
Imperial Palace:
São Paulo’s Imperial Palace is perfect for those that thrive on fast-paced, close-quarters combat. Packed with areas that facilitate stealthy takedowns, as well as balconies and bars from which to catch sluggish passers-by, the Imperial Palace is designed for non-stop action, so equip a Loadout that can handle everything this multi-tiered environment holds.
55th Battalion HQ:
55th Battalion HQ is an expansive bi-level map packed with tight corners, bulletproof glass and a balance of open spaces and scattered hiding places. The den of the ruthless São Paulo Special Forces has a seemingly endless number of jail cells, control rooms and choke points for you to shoot your way out of. Showcase your run-and-gun tactics here by dual-wielding some powerful pistols or equipping a semi-automatic shotgun to get the most from your match.
Departure Lounge:
Packed with plenty of obstructions, alcoves and cubbyholes to hide you from certain death, the Departure Lounge of São Paulo’s Piratininga Airport is tailored for strategic gameplay. The secret to staying alive is to take advantage of the cover offered by the many sunglass kiosks, book stores and vending machines littered throughout.
Incidentally, the add-on will bring with it a few other multiplayer goodies, such as the M4 assault rifle, the São Paulo Police player faction, and Light Fingers, a perk item that lets you loot corpses faster. There are also five new trophies/achievements for you to earn:
- Air Ace: Get 2 kills in a single Shootdodge in the Departure Lounge
- Express Checkout: Kill 4 players within 3 seconds in the Imperial Palace
- Keep Your Nose Clean: Get 100 kills as a member of the SPP
- Long Arm of the Law: Win 20 Vendettas in the 55th Battalion HQ
- M4 Murder: Level up your M4 all the way to level 10
