Five little words, spoken by Visceral’s Steve Papoutsis that has potentially ruined my day….
Visceral Games executive producer Steve Papoutsis has disappointed a lot of gamers, following a question about Dead Space 3′s chances of coming to Wii U..
@leveluptime Hello Steve. May I ask if DS3 is planned for Wii U ? It could be fun with asymetrical gameplay, nope ?
@Angel_LiveGen not currently in the plan.
It could be that EA has plans to bring the title to Wii U, as it’s not scheduled to launch until next year, a port with slightly upgraded features could be turned around in just a few short months. We’ve just got to make our voice heard, who’s up for a campaign? Operation: Necrofall anyone?

GAHH!! Now i need to play some dead space 2, haven’t had time to get around to the dlc… and just when it had left my mind i see this…
On another note, i don’t think i would like a game like this on a system like the wii u, I see a slower paced game being more successful, like a silent hill type game. I wouldn’t want to be constantly looking up and down on the screens during those quick bursts of aliens,
Kinda agree with you. Just like how I hate how you look down at the controller screen in ZombiU when you’re looking down the scope of a weapon.
Yeah, i just don’t like the concept in a game like that. Seems it would take away from the game. If its use was like the kinect has been doing lately, just being voice commands, instead of the movement as well, then maybe it could work out. I just don’t see how, as your have to move your hand off the sticks/buttons to do it anyway on the wii u, how is that saving time or making it more fluid? They would have to dumb down the games to make it seamless, and personally, i’d rather have a fully realized game, instead of a gimmick.
If you look at the trailer carefully, you will see that when your looking at the GamePad’s screen as a sniper rifle, your aiming the GamePad at the TV set. Similar to the “Wii U Shooting” demo from E3 2011.
So at this time you would only be looking at one screen.
